The laptop is still undergoing surgery (new motherboard). And this computer is sometimes difficult to access, hence the infrequent updates.
What's on my mind?
The Dodgers.
I'm starting to get worried.

Beyond My Knowledge.

I've owned a few computers in my life. Yet, I had yet to have on crash and be rendered inoperable -- until recently.
I tried to all the trick I knew to bring my laptop back to life: reseating the memory chips, etc.
But, no dice.
Oh well, this one is beyond my knowledge.
So I wait for a call from the computer doctor to see if he can bring my laptop back to life. I'm lucky enough to have another computer available, so until then I will use the desktop computer.
*sigh*
But, it's just not the same.

ZZZ
I haven’t been to many planning commission meetings, but I still think I saw something I won't see very often. While listening to a resident speaking during public comment, I heard a very distinctive noise over the PA system--the distractive wheezing of someone snoring. No? Could it be?
Yes it was! The city attorney had fallen asleep! Though, he did only get about 3 or 4 good snores in before he woke himself up.
I had to try hard not to laugh aloud.
*The photo above is not the city attorney. But doesn't this cat look dead?

Hmmm

I just had a birthday a few days ago. It was that day when somebody asked me how to sum up my past years in one word. Well, I thought, and said to myself, "Hmmm."
Then I realized, that was it. If I could sum up my past years, it would be just like this:
"Hmmm"

There goes my wisdom
Had my wisdom teeth taken out today.
It hurts.
It sucks.
Enough said.
Thank God for Vicodin.
P.S. That is not me in the video.

The win streak continues -- because of me.
A couple of weeks ago the Dodgers were on a losing streak. I had no one to blame but myself. I was watching almost every game, and they were losing. Something had to change.
What was I doing different? Well, I thought, may be I should give them a break. Let's see what happens when I don't watch them.
So the next game I didn't watch them on T.V. I patiently waited until the next days morning paper. The next day, I nervously opened the paper. They won! Hmm. I told myself, "Well, lets see what happens tomorrow."
They won again!
So now it's been 7 games. And it's been 7 wins.
Because of me!
(I probably just jinxed them *sigh*)

Exactly what was said
I almost never do interviews by email. But, they gave me a contact that was expecting an email, so I did so.What kind of interview did I get? Well, I one that gave more than I asked for. Which, is good.
Email interviews give me a written record of what was asked and said. Yet, the interviewee ALSO has a written record of what was asked and said. They can easily forward this email, post it on their blog, or do as they please with this electronic transcript.
Nothing bad has ever happened. It’s just always in the back of my mind.
Still, I will always prefer the old standby, and Adrianne Flynn said it best.
"I get on the horn and call the sources for my stories and ask them all kinds of stupid questions until I understand what they're talking about." -- Adrianne Flynn
